I got the FX to work! And it is beautiful&#8230;<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-585\" src=\"http:\/\/test.adamantyr.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/HitInCombat.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"272\" height=\"208\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Well, it WAS beautiful, until I discovered a horde of bugs around it, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monster graphics are correct, but once in awhile the wrong file loads for a given monster<\/li>\n<li>The timing on the effects appearing and disappearing along with the combat maps and updates needs to be better synced<\/li>\n<li>Attack mapping seems broken, but ONLY with the rogue? It gets into a massive CPU over-write in the routine<\/li>\n<li>At one interval that hasn&#8217;t repeated, I couldn&#8217;t Guard on the first turn with the wizard. It didn&#8217;t repro on subsequent turns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Obviously, the graphics and sound effects take a back-seat to the process of getting them on the screen.
